Vrenian Government and Capital

Westray exists in an Empire, ruled by Queen Vrena and a handful of advisors. The advisors consist of nobles, military officials, scholars, and a divine seer. The line of succession has always followed the woman, abiding by a matrilineal kinship principle. The Vrenian Empire was established just after the Krare Dynasty was, and always had very close ties with the Dynasty. These ties began good, forging trading routes, sharing cultures and resources, but after the period of peace, disputes began to arise. At the beginning of the last century, a series of battles broke out, leading to the infamous Sister Wars. Shortly after the current Queen Vrena came into power, a temporary peace was established between the waring countries, a peace that wavers with every mistake.

The capital of Westray, and the second oldest city in Westray, is Gracey's Peak. Located in the moutainous forests and cold of the north, the city was founded first as a trading post. Resources could be exchanged to be dispersed throughout Nuxfar or Westray, and those travelling for expeditions and discoveries or for a new home, could take shelter from the elements. Now that Westray has developed further, Gracey's Peak has fallen out of the center, and now resides at the northern corner of the country. Gracey's Peak jouses a selective, but supposedly renowned school called Sorcellamis Academy. It is a school for magic, mainly teaching magic to students through writing spells and rituals, as well as teaching those who already have magic within them, to harness it.
