Personal history
Ageis grew up in the far northern continent. She was born in a time of a great plague which had been brought over from one of the neighboring continents after a raiding party had come back not showing symptoms. The plague spread like wildfire, it was airborne and the death rate was enormous. Ageis was born into blood, and comit, and spittle, and her mother prayed to any, and every god she could think of, hoping maybe one of them would have mercy on the village and send a blessing through her. The gods did not disappoint. The blemishes on her mother's hands immediately began to vanish as she spoke the name of the God ________. The scars on the flesh of the nurses present for the birthing also began to disappear, as if their flesh was knitted back together, and the plague was banished from the room like a shadow when a torch is lit. Ageis opened her eyes, and they glimmered ice blue with flecks of gold and silver dancing in their midst.
Ageis was baptized shortly after, and raised in the church to heal. She treated plague victims with her bare hands, having no fear of the rampant disease. People began to see her as a beacon of hope, and hundreds would line up to receive healing. The Gods continued to work through her, giving her power to heal the plague even after her own reserves had been exhausted. This went on for weeks, but eventually the plague was eradicated. Years passed and Ageis had grown. She had become a woman, and was a powerful figure in the religion of her people. Knowing that she would be unable to stay in her small village forever, she chartered a ship south, bringing with her only what she needed. Some furs to keep warm, some armor, a weapon, and a talisman made of the incinerated bone of those that died of the plague as a constant reminder of her purpose in the world, and what she was placed there to do.
