Kelemvor Temple

Kelemvor Temple is a grand and imposing structure, that rises high above the city of Lingla. Named after the founder of the religion, the temple is built from white marble, with intricate carvings of mythical beasts adorning its sloping sidewalls. Gleaming brass doors open onto an expansive courtyard filled with lush gardens and fountains. A winding stairwell leads to a set of stately double doors that provide access to the interior chambers, while four large pillars flank each side of the entranceway, depicting scenes of ancient battles between Gortab's faithful followers and their enemies. On top of the temple sits a majestic dome made out of brass tiles which can be seen throughout most parts of the city during daylight hours.

The Kelemvor Temple is dedicated to the worship of Gortab, the goddess of animal husbandry. Worshipers revere her for bringing prosperity and abundance to their farms and villages by blessing them with fruitful harvests and healthy livestock. Through offering prayers to her, they seek guidance in tending their animals and growing crops, as well as general success in all aspects of life. The temple also serves as a shelter for injured or abused animals, with priests devotedly looking after them until they can be returned safely home or adopted into new homes.
