Romansch

Spoken by millions in the lands ranging from the western reaches of the continent to the distant Carpathian mountains. Romansch may be the most widely used language in the known world, though Germanisch and some tongues of the Levant are probably close in surpassing it. The language is directly derived from the Latin of the fallen Roman Empire, but it has been influenced by Gaelic, Germanisch, and even Arabic over the centuries.
