Primordial

This is one of the earliest languages of existence and said by some to be the very language of creation itself. It is unlikely this is the language of the creator beings known as the Ancient Ones, but it is certain that the tongue existed before the Terra Viejo was wrought forth from the elemental planes. While Primordial is a single language, it does have four very distinct dialects that considerably alter the way the language sounds.

• Terran: This is the dialect spoken primarily by earth elementals and other inhabitants of the Plane of Earth. It has a grating, gravelly sound, much like that of a rockslide.
• Auran: This dialect is spoken by air elementals and the denizens of the Plane of Air. It has a whispery, song-like tone akin to a gentle breeze blowing through the trees.
• Aquan: Spoken by water elementals and those living in the Plane of Water, this dialect has a gurgling, bubbling sound like water rushing over stones.
• Ignan: The dialect of fire elementals on those who make the Plane of Fire their home flows gently but has an abrupt, surprisingly harsh sting in its tone.
