Lamias are an all female race that favor the hotter areas in the world. they have no legs, replaced with a long snakelike tail. they slither around, allowing them to sneak through places most humans can't.

Anatomy

human torso, snake tail in place of their legs. 2 Limbs (3 if you count the tail). their tails don't have much bone, and they have a lot of muscle. they also have forked tongues.

Biological Traits

lamias can weigh a lot due to their tails almost being pure muscle. they also have strong abdominal muscles, and can hold muscle tension for over 15 minutes

Genetics and Reproduction

they can reproduce both sexually and asexually by something similar to parthenogenisis. either way, they lay eggs

they can live in hot climates like a desert with ease, however, cold areas make them sick, and can even kill them.

they're omnivores like humans, but they can eat less, as they digest rather slowly

like humans, they often name children after things they find beautiful. though names ending with an 'ee-a' sound are popular among them.

it can vary from lamia to lamia, but their standards aren't the highest for men (again.. no male lamias). for women it's somewhat similar, though those with a stronger attraction to females particularly favor prominent abdominal muscles.

Lamias generally have equal expectations for both genders. Though long ago men were often treated as slaves (and in some wild tribes still are), this practice was mostly abandoned after a plague ravaged the worlds lamia population.

most hope for men to make the first move, as a lot of them don't know what to do. Those who don't have a rather direct and semi-aggresive approach which is often met with some shock and slight intimidation.

For the most part, lamias enjoy granting their lovers pleasures of both the flesh and various arts they are passionate about, which were traditionally picked up i nhopes of keeping the males around. those few tribes who cling to the old ways will simply use force.

mostly the same as humans, but physical contact is less of a strange thing (IE hugs, kisses on the cheek/face in general) and more of a common greeting, and even coiling people up is acceptable (provided they keep themselves loose enough for them to get away, which is an issue seen more annoying than worrying.)

same as everywhere else, though the wearing of revealing clothing is much more common, both just for the sake of it and in order to keep cool.
