Elves

long ago, the elves were the greatest empire in Terra. they had cities all over the world, and looked down upon the other races like man and dwarf. however, they fought an intense war with the precursors, the elves feared their machines and beams of light. their arrogance, less advances, and complete unwillingness to ask for help from any other race, caused them to lose, badly. they were enslaved by the precursors, turned into mindless drones to their will. but when the precursors dissapeared, the 'elves' went feral, turning into nothing but animals known as 'the twisted'. these first elves were known as 'high elves'. some people think a few could have survived, through vampirism, or perhaps preservation through precursor experiments, but noone knows for certain.

they had pointed ears, blonde to white hair, tan skin.

they seemed to live everywhere. Those people who believe the elves still live have a few ideas in mind of where they'd be.

Domestication

the precursors, during their war with the elves, would enslave them, blind them, and warp their minds until they could do nothing without being asked. when the precursors dissapeared, these slaves went feral, and became the beasts known now as the twisted.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

precursors often used them as slaves, but more often, they used them for experiments. the most notible being when they would inseminate elven women with the seed of a dragon or some other creature to see if a hybrid would be created. (they also did this with women of other races, but they used elves the most.)

elves had strange sounding names, many of which couldn't be pronounced by most people.

Beauty Ideals

similar to human ideals, but from old journals found in the ruins of their cities, male elves seemed to very much enjoy the sight of a woman with larger thighs.

it's believed the elves didnt care much for gender.

Average Technological Level

the elves seemed about as advanced as the dwarves today. they've found schematics for a rod that could fire out fast moving balls of metal after igniting a flammable powder. another was found for a great suit of armor with a large tank of some kind of magical material, that would move into a tube of some kind and blast out pure fire.

among elves, they had very high etiquette, being very formal and respectful. any other race was treated with disdain, or just ignored entirely.

Common Dress Code

both men and women would commonly wear long, intricately decorated tunics, made of something akin to silk.

they were zealots, of the three 'good' gods of terra (Aphros, Talos and Khara.) and any other religion (including worship of the 'neutral' gods like Garl, Yfree or M'nvah.) were met with hatred and disdain.

little is known about elven traditions. though it's believed the common festivals (such as the festival of love) used by the races of terra came from the elves.

Common Taboos

same as anywhere else, but also consorting with races other than elves is frowned upon, especially the race modern people know as the precursors.

History

Elves were the first race created within Terra, created from the magic of the goddess Mn'vah and the blood of the primordial of Water.

Historical Figures

Evelyn: an ancient Elven Hero. Formely part of a wild tribe, she was trained in the Elven fortress of Cadia, trained with Elven guns and blades under the greatest Elven warrior and craftsman known, only known as Talon. Combined with the efforts of other extraordinary individuals of Terras ancient History such as Thel-Vadaam the precursor who broke his hivemind nature, The orc berserker Varag Maal, would combat massive threats to Terra; such as the Imperator Kal'tel, The demon lord Merrikoal, and even the entirety of the devil species (alongside precursor machines, Wild tribes of Orcs and the forces of Cadia). When the devils had been beaten to extinction, Merrikoal was banished, and Kal'tel sealed away, Evelyn would build her own temple and later become known as the high priestess of Terra, before the precursors attacked it and she dissapeared.
Talon: Talon was the lord of Cadia, the ancient elven fortress city. He lead the Elves of Cadia in battle personally, encouraging them to fight even as the city fell, telling them 'the light of Cadia will never burn out'. Talon trained Evelyn personally, bringing her into battle with his soldiers.
