In the beginning the material plane was forged by the old gods. Indulgent and without restraint, the world they forged was one of unbridled chaos, warfare, destruction, and creation. Great civilizations rose only to be quickly destroyed. The cycle perpetuated until the rise of the new gods. Forming the 5 planes of existence, the fallen gods were cast down into the deepest part of the infernal plane. Each race was organized and shuffled off to an assigned plane and the material world began to resemble it's current condition. Kingdoms and empires have rose in the 5000 years since the Godling War and now the world continues to try to sort itself as the fortunes of it's inhabitants rise and fall.
