Empress Farah Artorius I

Farah is the current ruling empress of the Artorian Empire. The fourth and last ruler who reigned in the Year of the four Rulers, she restored the Artorian dynasty that was deposed shortly during the chaotic time of the Year of the four rulers. Her reforms and consolidation of the empire as well as her masterful political maneuvering generated political stability in the Empire that was lost during its decline. Although some would see her as a tyrant due to her ruthless execution of dissidents, her reversal of the reforms set by Emperor Antoninus and warmongering politics plunged the Empire into a war with the Kingdom of Aranna

Personality

During her early years, Farah was naive, kind, forgiving, outgoing, and hopeful, following her grandfather's beliefs that every race is equal and peace is the noblest of aspirations, her personality made her the darling of the court and the Empire, being loved by her grandfather's ministers and the common people alike. Those beliefs and personality eventually fade away after Farah ascended to the throne, faced with the harsh reality of governing the Empire and she's forced to change, becoming cold, hard, serious, stubborn, firm and rarely-forgiving woman with an immense sense of duty.

Farah was proven on the battlefield as both a commander and warrior. she had a keen mind for strategy and warfare that led him to be respected by many nobles and was also fearless in combat, where she could battle and defeat other soldiers, even when injured or unarmored. Although she is not popular amongst the common citizenry like she used to be, due to her harsh rule and reversal of reforms that benefitted the citizens, Farah was respected and loved by the Imperial Legions who respected her due to her often personally leading them during campaigns.

History

Farah was born to Lord Suleiman ibn Hafsa Osmanli and Crown Princess Camilla Antonina Domitia Artorius. She was put in the line of succession after her uncle, Aurelian was disinherited by Emperor Antoninus after causing a scandal at the court. Farah would grow up in the imperial palace, where she became the darling of the imperial court and is loved by the common folk due to her outgoing and kind personality. She would then be assigned as Aurelian's ward and the two would grow close.
During the turbulent time of "The year of the four rulers", Farah would witness her grandfather being killed by conspirators who wished to overthrow the Artorian dynasty. She narrowly escaped from death during the massacre of the Artorian family with the help of her uncle and the two would escape the capital city. The following year, Aurelian would crown Farah as Empress and gather support and eventually the two would march towards the capital city, defeating the previous pretender to the throne. After she is crowned, Farah would spend most of her early reign, stamping out unrest and rebellion. Her rule is characterized with many military campaigns with the most notable one being her subjugation of the Dwarven Kingdom of Modan, turning it into a vassal kingdom. Currently Farah is waging war against the Elven kingdom of Aranna with the war currently on a stalemate with both sides suffering heavy casualties.
