The Temple of New Eden

"A modern Edenite structure for the modern Edenite man."

While New Eden had existed in name and culture since the 10th century AE, it was not until the mid 13th century that Auma and the surrounding Guildwellian nations had established a long term boarder. After achieveing what they had been fighting for, it was time to build the new nations capital. Along with New Eden they needed to build a brand new temple in the center of the city. This new structure was meant to signify the rebirth of Edenism and the technilogical and scientific prowess of Aumanite Edenism.

Crowned by Terrabore largest domed roof (at about 40 meters in diameter), the Temple of New Eden was a technilogical marvel at its time. Much of this structure is reinforced with Metisian Steel. The way Auma attained this steel remains somewhat of a mystery as at the time Metis rejected ties to Auma in favor of their long time aliance with South Guildwelliah. The steal is theorized to have been brought over to Auma by pirates with one legend posing that much of it was brought over by the pirate Feo of the Rising Sun by welding excessive amounts of it to her own ships and stealing it from the ships of Metisian naval vessels.

Alternativly it has been proposed that Auma simply took it from the weopons of South Guildwellian and Metisian mercenaries during the war. The amount of steal found in the structure lead many to belive that there was not enough material in the armies that Auma faced to account for it.

Regardless of the technological significance of the temple, in the early days many visitors reported that its decor and beauty seemed very lack luster. This is because Aumanite Edenism aimed to abstain from any trace of idolitry of any kind. Thus there were little to no statues or other artwork. Later gardens and manmade waterfalls were added to improve its asthetic.
