The Divine Lexicon of Code and Tradition in Accordance to Sodis

Created and Edited by jmann154
The Divine Lexicon of Code and Tradition in Accordance to Sodis is a tome that defines all that Sodis has communicated to his mortal followers. It contains the law of A’h Enfrys and tradition that must be followed.

Purpose

The purpose of this Lexicon is to document to prophetic statements of Sodis, and the interpretation and enforcement of said statements.

Document Structure

Clauses

This document documents and describes every message Sodis has given to mortals, this is listed in the first segment of the Lexicon. There is also a small portion of this segment dedicated to the word of other gods that the High Priests deemed worthy of entering the Lexicon. The next segment is for the decryption of these statements and every possible interpretation, thusly this is the longest segment. After that, the chosen interpretation of the decrypted passage is written in as law and/or traditions such as festivals.

Publication Status

Sections of the Lexicon are publically available, but the original is kept in a secure facility in the Sanctuary of Sodis. The first High Priest of Second Era used this loophole to enforce false laws as a dictator. But loyal guards stopped this practice, and every time a law is passed or enforces, it must first be heard in front of a council.

Legal status

The end segment of this document describes all law and tradition to be enforced throughout A’h Enfrys, as well as the punishments if not followed.

Historical Details

Background

In 103 of 1E, the gods spoke to a man known as the Speaker. He transcribed the words of the divine, delivering it to the people. Since then, it’s been constantly updated and changed as different perspectives offer alternative interpretations of the scripture.

History

The Lexicon brought order to the tribal mindset of the Enfrysians. This lead to the development of a theocratic society, where the Speaker would speak the will of the gods to save the populous and send them to the Holy Land of Zoranneheim.   Until the speaker died. It was another decade before another speaker was chosen by Sodis’ light.

Public Reaction

The initial reaction to the transcription of this Lexicon in 168 of 1E from the people of A’h Enfrys was relief, oral transition proved inaccurate. Over time, the use of the Lexicon has become so widespread throughout the country that folk no longer think twice before obeying new laws passed.
