Eidophages are parasites that live on Worldsouls, feeding off of their energy. They are often forced to follow some of the Worldsoul’s laws, such as limitations to their forms or interactions, but this enforcement is very dependent on the strength of the Worldsoul. In the case of Teralt, because Andromeda was weakened in her fight against the Traveling Parent, the eidophages were able to manifest as powerful gods until they were expelled from Teralt. In the case of Earth, because Gaea permitted eidophages to even exist in her presence, they were able to take simple godly forms, with great limitations.
Eidophages typically find a Worldsoul that suits them and remain attached to them. They rarely leave for other planets.
