--- BACKGROUND ---
Where born/grew up: Born in New York airport when mom landed the plane as pilot, flight attendants were her first responders.
Important past events: 5 1/2 years ago Eli was engaged to marry sweet christian girl. When the Worldquake Epiquake rocked the globe, his future wife disappeared. She believed in the rapture and the Lord could come anytime but Eli didnt believe in a rapture. He was a christian but didnt read the book or pay attention in church, just went through the motions. Arkan personally pulled together all military heads and forced them to become one unit globally, any who didn't, were slaughtered in that room. No proof of this but lots of head officials disappeared AFTER the disappearings. There was a lot of chaos during that time so it was hard to pinpoint events but special forces were sent in to do the clean up and told to remain silent. Eli was enraged, disrespect to the force was not allowed in his book. He was pulled aside put in a white room and told he didnt exist and if he wanted to survive this hell he would shut up and do what he was ordered to do. He went MIA the next day. Then the storms came. massive floods landslides then algae and red water, Asteroids raining fire, infestations and sores. Eli repented HARD and reads the book everyday. Never liked Arkan and now after the Fall, believes he is the antichrist and it is his personal mission to destroy Arkan.

"Orders are Orders, Eli." His second-in-command tried to make the best of any situation.
"It’s Cherev, Lieutenant Richards."
"Yes, Sir."
With a flourish, the team spread out, scooping up black bags of viscera.
He was already mad about the timing of this mission, since the global disappearances yesterday. The disrespect to Special Forces was unreal. This felt like a trick. He was the one sent in to cause this kind of scene, not to clean it up.
Eli shoved a gloved handful of slop off the top of an appliance.
Now he was furious.
"What kind of person calls a meetin' of the U.S. heads and kills em? What a filthy mess."
The team froze at his words. He knew to never talk about the job, but he couldn't believe what was happening!
Boots squished from behind him.
"Cherev, you are to report to the Commander-in-Chief immediately."
The reporting officer turned on his heel and marched out of the room. Eli pushed ahead of him, down the maze of hallways into a small white room. The door closed behind him and hissed as it locked. It was an interrogation room with no glass. The walls were giant computer screens that projected a matte white and whomever observed him via webcam. It was hard to tell where the floor ended and the walls began as everything was a blinding white. The proverbial cage was closing in and rings of his noose tightened.
Eli heard a computerized voice prompt over the intercoms.
"You have been banned from existence."
He blinked.
"What does that mean?"
"Human: Category: Secret Service/US Special Forces. Your identity does not exist. Thus, you have been banned from existence."
"That doesnt' make sense! Just 'cause I'm not in your stupid list, doesn't mean I don't exist. I've an unwritten identity, an’ for good reason."
"You have been-".
The computer prompt stopped and the static of a microphone cut in.
"This is your President, and commander-in-chief, Arkan Amgir. I command-"
"You're not MY commander, Mr. President of nothin!" Eli yelled.
"Do NOT interrupt me!-"
"You stole the U.N. wit' gold n' kisses durin a worldwide disaster. And now I find you killed all the U.S. officials? For what!"
"That is none of your concern." Arkan stated.
"Tha's it then?"
"Remember your place, Cherev. You are no longer an entity of the United States as they no longer exist. You are a mercenary owned by the United Free Nations of Global Commerce."
Eli was in shock. No longer exist? Arkan was goin to feel the wrath of his 5.56 bullet!
"And when did the U.S. 'bend the knee' to your global truism?"
"As of three hours ago. Now leave, your flight to Moscow leaves in 5 hours. It'll be the last time you remember 'sleep'."
The mic chirped off as the door to his abyss unlocked.
The computer chimed again as he walked back to the conference room of the death of the United States of America.

What is the individual goal of each character? Eli's goal is to find the remnant and fight the current world gov. Lydia is to find safety security settle down quietly avoid her destiny.
Do their goals conflict? Yes eli knows she is awakened and should embrace her destiny even though she has no idea what it is. Lydia wants to fall away quietly making no waves.
What are a few of their inside jokes? He has very dry humor she doesnt get so the inside joke is lydia is cluelessly sarcastic and that sometimes Eli ignores or doesnt understand.
How do they reveal their core to the other character? Eli lays it all out but its so over her head she pushes away. The cliche christian who pushes people away because of their superiority complex. Eli explains they are truly awakened and given a special purpose to fight the enemy. Having a guardian is crucial and knowing how to work together makes you stronger. Fight who? The enemy in the damn capital! Alamgir controls all the houses and corporations they do his bidding! Not such a bad guy? He uses nations like pawns and throws them away when they're used up then blames the nation go its instability and having government dependence.
What are their relationship expectations? Lydia wants to be with him but he is so intimidating its attractive because he doesnt push her but he is so passionate about what he believes. Eli likes lydia and is tempted to pursue her because of who she is and how unique she will be in the end. His guardian warns him not to get too close yet she hasn't reached her potential and she has to do that before anything can come of them. She will lead Eli astray if he pursues her now. She has a dangerous power not controlled of it yet and she could turn him into his worst enemy.
Does either have an addiction? Lydia still addicted to fear running. Eli loves his power but not addicted to alcohol anymore. Easy to slip back and take his power away. Think of how much more power you could have if you just surrendered all your urges?

How would each character feel if the other had to leave for a time? They have a choice they were supposed to meet earlier and lydia go with eli but she chose justin. When they seperate eli is depressed but has faith he will see her again. lydia thinks she'll never see him again and mourns the life she could of had with him. She dreams of the future she wants, following the knight and his guardian fighting along side him and conquering the castle to settle as king and queen with children and a safe kingdom to rule. How would they react if they broke up? They break up when lydia wont commit and freezes
How do they handle dividing up chores and household duties? Eli takes care of everyones dishes hunting hes a provider and likes to lead. He cares for lydias wounds and gabes. Lydia tries to play fight over chores and he gives the task over willingly so she pouts in her defeat/win. When she tries to walk away from conversation he doesnt chase her, he waits and when she comes back he says "our relationship will not be like that."
Who brings home the bacon and how? Eli hunts provides salvages minimally since his skills bring far tastier provisions. Lydia is sad for killing but he explains the need even with junk she finds they need meat protein to sustain longer travel. Everything gets used.
