The Barony of Kogot, House Petukh

The cocksure rooster is a relatively new addition to the tapestry of banners and sigils that span the land. Its origins are that of chivalry and bravery - an orc by the name of Karev Petukh, better known as “The Rooster”, earned the title of baron after serving dutifully at his marquis’ side in many a conflict. For his bravery and loyalty, he was rewarded the barony of Kogot, an honor and a duty that he would pass on to his descendants.   The land is rich, although centuries of lackluster management had left it once more untamed. The derelict efforts of the previous rulers are slowly being recovered, but the frontier is not quick to release its grasp. House Petukh carries this burden with pride, each generation slowly and surely expanding the inner boundaries of their domain. All the while, not forgetting the service that had earned them this right - their warriors are some of the marquis' most loyal retainers.

Notable Locations

The Roost

The castle and surrounding town in which the baron, himself, resides. Previously known as the Oaken Keep, it has now taken on a new name, one more befitting its ruler, as well as its newfound look. The baron's mother, in her rule, had reclaimed a long-lost quarry and decided to build the keep anew in order to commemorate this great achievement (as well as to bolster the defenses). The Roost is a fine example of hard work and vision, growing and expanding by the year. Many a prospect to be made in its budding splendor.

Tusken Quarry

The quarry was reclaimed by the baroness Khania, mother to Tator. She carved a path through the wild forest and vanquished the barbarian orcs of the Tusken clan that had made it their home. Since then, it has become an invaluable source of stone and other various materials, used in the construction of new houses and sturdier defenses.

Figures & Factions

Baron Tator Petukh

The fourth generation ruler of house Petukh, the orc is as ambitious as his mother and the rulers that came before her - he is set to make their land flourish. However, there are rumours, that unlike those before him, he wishes to reconcile with the wild orcish clans and take them under the fold. This does not sit well with quite a few notable figures.

(Unit) The Crimson Crest

Renowned retainers of the baron, they are some of the flashiest troops in the realm. Naturally, they adorn their helmets with over-the-top red-colored crests, the vibrant colors of their banner shining upon their tabards and shields.

Notable Items

(Heirloom) Bloodbeak

The long-lived relic of the Petukh family-turned-house, this war pick’s head and nail are in the shape of a rooster’s head and beak, the latter’s tip painted a vibrant crimson. It is rumored that the weapon has been in the family's possession long before their days of nobility.
