Biodysulphite, BSS19 or just "Sulphite" is a type of crystal rarely found on hot planets like Apolliona, the element itself is toxic to most lifeforms but in its crystalized form the toxicity is much less present. This toxicity commonly makes it an item of interest from most nations militaries, however its rarity and exclusivity to Apolliona and other hot planets keeps it from falling into the wrong hands.
Weapons like the RSBT missile system use a small amount of BSS19 to increase explosivity, Sulphite-tipped warheads usually explode violently when hitting targets making them incredibly effective in battle. Biodysulphite was discovered in 2319 AN by Fabien scientists, the material was quickly discovered in large amounts on other regions of Apolliona.

BSS19 can only be found on the planet of Apolliona though, it usually appears pretty close to the surface. A rare variant of the crystal has the ability to regrow allowing for "Sulphite Farms".
