Kingdom of Vojhanila

The Kingdom of Vojhanila is one of the oldest countries of Temlesia. Historians and archeologists have found documentation and artifacts that pre-date any other such items found in other countries of the Eastern Continent. These items were found in what are now referred to as the First Cities, ancient settlements of Vojhanila that have remained mostly vacant and are considered sacred in the modern day.
Vojhan people take great pride in their First Cities, and ensure that the ancient buildings and settlements are well taken care of. While prideful of this geographical history, they are also truth seekers, and work to ensure an accurate recounting of their history, even when it is less than favorable.

Culture

Vojhan culture is centered around the idea that their history is also their present, that what has happened in the past has made them who they are today. Though first to brag of their triumphs and accomplishments, they are also the first to admit their kingdom's shortcomings, and where they may learn from the mistakes of their ancestors - whether that means their First City ancestors or simply the ancestors of a few generations before them.
They are a people of historians, archeologists, anthropologists, and archivists. They are also writers and painters and sculptors, firmly believe that art and history are innately intertwined.

History

Nagroth, Vojhanila's capital city, is the oldest of the First Cities of Vojhan, nestled at the northern end of the mouth of the Hagroth River.
The First Cities are what Vojhan's call their oldest settlements, with only a few still standing in the current age. Most remain vacant, but Nagroth is the only First City that has persisted as the kingdom's center of life. Much of it's original architecture is intact, but just as much has merged with newer architecture as old buildings and structures required necessary upkeep in order to remain in use.
