The Chandrian are a mysterious and feared group of legendary beings associated with misfortune and destruction in the Kingkiller Chronicles. Little is known of them aside from childrens songs, one of the most familiar is:
With signs of seven, they appear, Silent whispers, full of fear, Blue flame dances, iron rusts, Wood decays, as shadows thrust.
Whisper, whisper, keep it hushed, Speak their names, and they'll be rushed, Chandrian, Chandrian, here they come, Bringing darkness, hiding sun.
