Telreon forms several eons ago.
Telreon forms several eons ago.
The continent of Telros forms. All of The Legends of Telreon: Dragonguard will take place here.
The gods begin to appear and mold the planet and continent to their liking. The first five, and most powerful to arrive are: Moradin (God of Creation) Pelor (God of Sun & Agriculture) Melora (Goddess of Wilderness & the Sea) Asmodeus (God of Tyranny) Kord (God of Strength & Storms)
Moradin, Pelor and Melora work together to create living creatures on Telreon. The vast ocean and the continent of Telros are now teeming with wildlife. However, angered by not being consulted about this act, Asmodeus and Kord plot to undermine the work that has been done...
In retaliation to not being included in the creation of life, Asmodeus and Kord spend the next 100,000 years working on minor gods that are both powerful and will cause chaos throughout the continent. The following gods are created and unleashed upon Telreon by Asmodeus and Kord: Gruumsh (God of Destruction) Lolth (Goddess of Spiders & Lies) Tharizdun (God of Madness) Torog (God of the Underdark) Zehir (God of Darkness & Poison) Vecna (God of Evil Secrets) Desperate to reset the balance of the planet, Moradin, Pelor and Melora create minor gods of their own: Avandra (Goddess of Change & Luck) Corellon (God of Magic & the Arts) Sehanine (Goddess of the Moon) Sadly, this isn't enough. Over the next 300,000 years the struggle to regain balance continues. Eventually Moradin, Pelor and Melora come up with their final attempt to push back against the chaotic gods.
Moradin, Pelor and Melora create the following in their last hope to regain balance:
Elves, Humans, Dragonborn, Gnomes, Dwarves and Halflings
Bahamut (God of Justice & Nobility)
Erathis (Goddess of Civilization & Invention)
Ioun (Goddess of Knowledge)
In retaliation, Asmodeus and Kord create:
Orcs, Tieflings, Demons and Goblins
Bane (God of War and Conquest)
Tiamat (Goddess of Wealth, Greed & Vengeance)
In their desperate attempt to sow chaos, and as their final insult to the Gods of Light, Asmodeus and Kord create the Raven Queen (Goddess of Death), so that the Gods of Light must watch all of their creations wither and die. Mass extinctions begin to occur, and half of all life is wiped from the face of Telreon, never to be seen again.
Enraged by the creation of The Raven Queen, the divide amongst the gods is complete.
The Gods of Light are Moradin, Pelor, Melora, Avandra, Bahamut, Corellon, Erathis and Sehanine.
The Gods of Chaos are Asmodeus, Kord, Raven Queen, Bane, Gruumsh, Lolth, Tharizdun, Tiamat, Torog, Vecna and Zehir.
Ioun is the only neutral god at the beginning of the conflict, as she steps back to view the event from afar and chronicle the events as they happen: The gods and their aforementioned creations begin the bloody conflict in the heart of Telros. As the conflict expands, and more death occurs, the Raven Queen becomes more and more powerful; The Dragonborn race and Bahamut join Ioun in neutrality, and Bahamut takes the Dragonborn into hiding towards the end of the war, terrified of the Raven Queen. They are not seen again for some time; In the final year of the conflict, the Raven Queen unleashes her power and begins killing everyone with no regard to which side they are on, culminating in her nearly killing Melora and Asmodeus at the Battle of the Wispy Mountains.
The final battle occurs just east of The Wispy Mountains. Unknown to the Raven Queen, the other gods have made a pact to finish the Raven Queen once and for all. In their final act on the Material Plane, the Gods of Light and Chaos come together to use all of their power to trap the Raven Queen in the Underworld. Torog changes his mind at the last minute and tries to disrupt the spell, causing him to also be banished to the Underworld, but this act does weaken the spell enough to where Torog can travel between the Underworld and the Material Plane; The energy created by this act completely obliterates the surrounding area for hundreds of miles, nothing is left living or standing.
As the dust settles, the surviving races realize that the gods have ascended to the Celestial Plane, and have left the world to survive on its own, without direct divine influence. The inhabitants of Telreon must learn to forgive and grow together, or else the Raven Queen will ultimately be victorious...
The first battle of the War of the Gods. Located somewhere in the northern region of Telreon, was not as destructive to the surrounding areas, as it was to the combatants themselves. Due to their general hostility and lack of contact, both sides found themselves completely caught off guard by the powers the other side possessed, leading to massive casualties on both sides. The gods sent their creations in for hours, leading to massive carnage.
A massive conflict in the middle of the War of the Gods. Casualties on both sides were in the tens of thousands. Gods of Chaos were ultimately victorious.
The Elf known as Kilmeros is born.
The Telreonic Summit is convened shortly after the final battle. All of the races on Telreon are in attendance, including the Dragonborn, who came out of hiding just before the final battle occurred. It is established here by Queen Fildaerae that the past will be the past, and all previous rivalries must be forgotten. There is some unrest to this decree, due to the massive amount of bloodshed, and the fact that it is coming from an Elf (there is a prejudice that exists that believes that the Elves were the preferred race of the Gods of Light). The Telreonic Summit results in The Pact of the Forgotten, which reads as follows, delivered by Queen Flidaerae: All inhabitants of Telreon are hereby absolved of their acts during The War of the Gods. This pact is evidence that each race elected one representative to represent their race in matters that will impact the inhabitants of Telreon at large. Worship of the Gods of Chaos is strictly forbidden, upon penalty of death. We must move forward together, and attempt to rebuild our lands in a way that benefits the living as a whole. This pact may be invoked during conflicts of war by those who have surrendered to allow them to be spared. The representatives were elected as follows: Queen Fildaerae of the Elves King Bofrim of the Dwarves King Benson of the Gnomes Queen Morton of the Dragonborn* King Snowdon of the Halflings* King Tyndall of the Humans* King Ruzkub of the Orcs* King Snape of the Tieflings* Queen Alton of the Goblins* * deceased at time of The Legends of Telreon: Volume One

Eventually, a tenuous truce was struck between King Lancaster, and the Chancellor of Mellicor.
