Vandria Gilmadrith
Lady of Grief, Steelheart
The elven goddess of vigilance, grief, and war, it is said the Lady of Grief (known as Steelheart to her enemies) feels the pain of every elf, especially those injured or killed in armed combat and the grief of their kin. Her greatest priority as a deity is the prevention of war, or, when that is impossible, shortening them. She represents the ability of the elves to harden their carefree nature to band together in times of strife.
She appears as a middle-aged elven woman, dark-skinned with white hair in a single elegant braid according to her dark elven heritage, with large, grey-feathered wings. She wears bright elven chainmail, an elegant silver helmet, and is armed with greatsword and longbow when entering combat.
Born of Corellon Larethian and the dark elven goddess Araushnee, Vandria's carefree demeanor hardened following the betrayal of Lolth. Steelheart's siding with the elven gods of goodness placed her in direct conflict with her own kind -- the dark elf gods darkened by their hatred and forced underground.
