Personal history

My brother and I were born in Ironvale and have spent our entire lives there, but life was rough for us when we were young. Our parents left us when I was 19, Coco was only 6 and wasn’t even sprouting chin hairs yet. We were taken in by some friendly hill dwarves, the Hammerstones. They had adopted 6 other dwarves. I’m the middle child. We lived in a an older part of town in a large home. We didn't go hungry or thirsty, and our living conditions were clean, if simple. I had several friends, and my childhood was generally a happy one. I followed in my father’s and adoptive mother’s footsteps and became a clan crafter. I was always good with my hands, so I took the opportunity to learn several trades, but my smithing skills were astounding. Over the next decade, word of my skill spread.   I made many fine blades, even one that was used to kill a noble. My brother, Coco, used his influence on the city watch to help me track down the murderer. The path led us to the over world. On my quest I experienced many new things and wonders! Did you know water randomly falls from the sky?!? In the course of my adventure, I met Swiftstriker, a goliath barbarian. She helped us defeat the murderer and Coco was able to bring him in to face justice. In my gratitude, I gave Swiftstriker the blade we had retrieved. As a sign of friendship, she gave me a runestone, said to be blessed by Moradin himself! It is one of my personal treasures. That is when I became a cleric. I realize that Moradin works through me, and I do as commanded, even though I don’t know why I was chosen to serve.   Since then, I’ve only made weapons for those who I trust. I now work for the Temple of the Hammer of Moradin, famed for the brewery it operates. Some say I smell like one of its ales. While I don’t know anything about the brewery process, I help maintain all the equipment and forge new pieces as needed. And the job is boring. In my darkest moods, I feel like I’m a forgotten toy. I yearn to hear Moradin again, to make use of my skills.
