Sathinn Introduction

The city of Sathinn was created by devils, who through numerous contracts and deals, built a large population of contractually bound citizens and other willing servants. The city is split into two primary districts, simply named the Northern and Southern Districts. The Southern District, which now surrounds the Northern District entirely, is a near-lawless place on the verge of anarchy. Each devil is on Teldir for their personal gain, and few have attempted to bring order to the city. Devils have formed gangs of indentured small folk to fight for dominance within the city. On the other hand, the city's Northern District is an oddity. Walled up and sealed with no gates or forms of entry, it appears beautiful and serene from the outside, untouched by the chaos of the Southern District. Those who leave the district are bound by a seemingly unbreakable oath to never speak of anything inside the district.   The region surrounding Sathinn stands in stark contrast with itself. Beautiful, beguiling fields and gardens clash with blasted, twisted landscapes that intermingle with each other like vibrant flower petals spread across a dying field. Mindless lemures who have escaped the Nine Hells wander these lands, feeding on whatever or whoever they can find. Smaller towns and settlements still exist in the region around Sathinn, mostly those who live under the rule of one or few devils, or others who live freely but in fear, seeking to enter the southern sector or simply have nowhere else to go.
