Thunderhalls

Home of Clan Mòrchild

Halls of many new rumors and superstition. In these halls lives a clan that once thought it to be bad fortune to have the surface of their home filled with human commerse, traffic and hamlets. However, it proves that Clan Mòrchild were able to turn this thought onto its head and are currently one of the more innovative dwarven clans to exist, which has granted them plenty of chances in spreading further and building larger and larger halls for their ever-expanding family line.

Demographics

Slightly more open to trade than other dwarven clans, the main district of Thunderhalls is open for visitors and outsiders as well. Clan Mòrchild is awfully protective of its further secrets from those who have not earned the right to gleam at them, so the main district is under heavy protection and watchful eyes for outsiders not to stray away into the depths of the city. Dwarves living in Thunderhalls are inventors, innovators and artificers. Creating wondrous constructs and even larger and greater machinatons further in their great halls that no visitor has ever witnessed.

Government

Clan Mòrchild is ran by a King as is tradition for dwarves. However, as the clan is growing at a considerable rate, it has been ruled ever since 534 for each district to have their own Council responsible for the well-being of their own district. These councils are elected by the people living in these districts, and they in turn report to the King on matters of urgency.

Infrastructure

The namesake of Thunderhalls (Which originated as a mockery, but that the inventive dwarves turned around into a pet name) comes from large, copper rails that shift around different sections of the city. Many districts of Thunderhalls would be inaccessible was it not for these copper tubes. Dwarves of Clan Mòrchild make their way around their home city by travelling these tubes inside of strange, marble balls. Apparently the tubes are so tightly packed, that mere steam and air pressure is required for the balls to move around the tubing.
