Yorric is from the lands to the south. A very eccentric traveler that was once a Champion in the area in Drenamir. He uses his magics for almost exclusive self benefit
Durring his time in the area he was a fan favorite. He was loved by many and his name was cheered throughout the capital. For many years he enjoyed his place at the top of society. When a new gladiator, Davy, began to rise in popularity it was decided that Davy would become the new area champion. Before the fight when Yorric was to be sacrificed to the crowd a thieves guild representative was able to buy Yorric's contract. The area officials arranged for Yorric's death to be faked and he was smuggled out of the city and brought to the north.
Here his new masters have given him a new job and purpose.
