King of Bloody Iron

The Bloody King Tressun Trihammer (a.k.a. The Old Sage)

Garbed in a blood red robe and a diadem of red iron. The King of Bloody Iron is the title of the ruler of Feldaguard, named so for the red tinted Iron that the city's structures and exports are often made with. The red is actually more of an orange-y color though it is said that if worked properly a master smith can get the iron to achieve masterwork quality which would turn it to an actual deep, blood red.    The current King of Bloody Iron is Tressun Trihammer the Second, elected to the position in the year 1920A4 and has reigned over the mountain through the totality of the Gem Wars into the fifth age. Though now quite old he still carries a great deal of respect and power within the mountain and it is believed he will pass the title on to his second son, Gendrick Trihammer the First of his name at the next election as the council seems to still be favoring the Trihammer dynasty.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

In his current age, being well over two hundred years old, Tressun has begun to feel the weight of his earlier exploits. His knees are often weak when the weather is cold and the black of his hair is beginning to fade to a dull grey. However, much like in his time served in the military, he still maintains a healthy level of exercise and still practices her hammer strikes.

Body Features

Most notable about his body which is covered in thick black hair, are a series of scars down the front of his chest and down his back, bite wounds from his clashing with the spirit naga.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Tressun, the first Trihammer to take the throne in over a thousand years was a quite man for the early years of his life. He worked around his father's forge, and eventually joined the military. After issues arose with the previous king who was using some soldiers to launch secret attacks on neighbouring nations to instill panic to inflate the price of their weapons and armors being traded to the south, Tressun was the one who brought forward the schemes of the king to the council. During the trial aforementioned it became obvious that Tressun was a skilled leader and a keen eye for political corruption, winning him the support of seven of the ten noble houses currently residing within Feln.

Gender Identity

Tressun is a male.

Sexuality

Being self-described as a man who 'Never had the time for pleasures of the flesh', Tressun is a Asexual, panromantic. Having been known to take companions not for sexual desires but out of a deep personal love.    Eventually he married Lady Marigold Silberedge at the behest of his family for political reasons, and bore three children with her, it is well known that this was more out of a sense of duty to ensure that his house had a proper heir.

Education

Tressun is classically trained, he received a proper education befitting the son of noble house and showed in his early years some predication towards religion, however as tensions grew with growing signs of a Druegar city existing in one of the old, long abandoned mine and the thought that the dark dwarves would begin encroaching fully into the still active mines of the city Tressun decided to enlist where he promptly retrieved the training of a battle master.

Employment

Originally there was talk that Tressun would employ himself into the Church of Four Hammers as a priest, a great honour for a first born of the noble houses and a powerful tool in inter-house politics if one is able to reach a high enough rank within the church. Though, after a decade of living such a life, with the growing threat of Druegar invasions, Tressun set aside the raiment of the church and joined the military proper.    There he served for sixty years, leading many operations, his tenure with the military only ended when one of his trusted soldiers: an elite warrior named Darvon Haftsplinter, came to him and informed him in private the missions that the King had been forcing Darvon and his unit to perform.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Beyond being an accomplished priest of Dunethoin (and a skilled brewer), Tressun's most notable accomplishments are a series of battles that he succeeded in during his tenure as a Commander in the military.    A trio-of missions known colloquially as Trihammer's Glory, Tressun lead heavily outnumbered counter attacks against Druegar forces, managing to use superior positioning and battlefield awareness to turn the tide for his inferior numbers, routing the dark dwarves back towards their city. During the chase of which his force was beset upon by one of the dark powers that had taken hold in Kaldun, the abandoned mine that lead to the Druegar city: a Spirit Naga known as Ysh'valor or Bone drinker in the common tongue. Splitting off from the main party, Tressun bested the beast in combat along side his two lieutenants. Following this victory the trio reconnected with the unit, and through the manipulation of a pair of earth elementals sealed off most of the passageways connecting the Druegar City to the still active dwarven mine, ensuring that if the Druegar wanted to return it would take much of their resources to reopen the tunnels and would leave them vulnerable to dwarf attack.

Failures & Embarrassments

Though, not considered a failure or embarrassment by all, the fact that Tressun withdrew from the church before completing his training as a priest has been a black spot on his record. Though if you asked the men who served with him they would staunchly say that Tressun just knew where he needed to be and when he needed to be there, it is undeniable that while Tressun has reigned as king of Felndaguard relations between the government and the church have been strained.

Mental Trauma

Ever since his interaction with the Naga Tressun became deeply paranoid of serpents. A lasting effect of the powerful psychic attacks of the monstrosity.

Morality & Philosophy

Despite a tense relationship with the church, Tressun is still a skilled priest of Dunethoin, attends weekly sermons. He holds true the belief of community that Dunethoin instills and believes that no person, even the king should be above the laws of common decency and the gods.    He is also a stalwart believer in the belief that nobility is earned and under his reign many non-noble birthed dwarves have had their family raised to noble status either with a landed title (such as a knighthood) or with a full seat on the council of noble clans.

Taboos

The most egregious taboo surrounding Tressun is his predication towards foreigners. He does not hold the same sort of predication to keep refugees out of the city and during his reign the mountain became home to a great many more non-dwarves than normal.
