Emperor Synfistorous (a.k.a. 'Sin')
Syn looked out from his spot in the crow's nest aboard the Krystal Hound; the air that licked at his shoulder length hair was cool with the early morning light. There was apprehension this morning, the young man; slender than most with skin that was tanned by months at sea felt with the coming of the son. He was returning home for the first time in years. Where his father the emperor would be waiting for his long lost son.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Syn is extremely strong, having been a spry man in his mid-teens to late-twenties he bulked up and grew stronger with age, being know to, even in his early hundreds open the massive, giant accessible doors of the palace himself.
Body Features
Syn has many scars across his body and his skin bares a hard worked leathery texture from decades of time in the sun.
Facial Features
Syn actually bares almost no majorly noticeable facial features, which he delights in as deciding to grow out his beard or apply a little makeup is normally all he needs to slip out of the palace and get away for a while.

He often rubs his left arm when lost in thought, where his father held him as he died.
Special abilities
Syn is not only a skilled sailor but was in his youth an impressive rogue. Nimble fingers and keen eyes he could de-jewel a nobleman standing in front of him while chatting the man up about the weather without the man ever being the wiser.

Personal history
Syn as he chose to be called as a youth ran away from home at the age of 15, fleeing the mansion in Hellsmere. Being physically unlike his brothers and father, and mentally more akin to his deceased mother he often butted heads with his Father who had lost his wife when Syn was born. Fleeing he joined up with a 'trader' ship that was actually a pirate ship under the helm of Captain Keras. The ship being known as Brineborn Hound.
He sailed under Captain Keras for two years until the Captain and a large portion of their crew were killed in the initial onslaught of Ras'al Khan, the man who would go to become one of the greatest villains in history. Surviving the encounter Syn was saved and spared by a pair of Dark Elves that were living on an all but deserted island.
After learning of their saviors and feeling lost without their Captain and much of their crew, the First Mate of the Brineborn Hound elected to make their drow savior their new captain. Under the service of one Aerthran Daerth the ship was repaired, crew healed, and the boat renamed 'The Krystal Hound'.
The events that follow would later become the complete journey of that ship during the Gem Wars, in which the crew of the Krystal Hound managed to unite many nations together in order to face the growing threat of Ras'al Khan and, during these trips gather all of the known Krystals under a single power.
Having been reunited with his father and brothers Syn joined them on the field of Warden for the final battle of the War, known as The Battle of Broken Diamond, he served as a scout running between units, wielding a pair of magical daggers that could fuse to become an impressive bow that the crew had acquired in their travels.
During the Battle of Broken Diamond his father and three brothers all perished, and though there were resources on hand for resurrections the four refused them, having been raised in the ways of their ancestral beliefs to the far north that a warriors death, once earned, leads to greater rewards beyond.
And so, regretfully pushed onto the Throne, Synfistorous the Second became the Emperor of the Jaralian empire at the age of 25. During the early years of his reigns he learned that he did in fact have an older, illegitimate brother that his father had sired with a prostitute in his youth and though his brother wished to have nothing to do with running the government the two became quite close.
Still to this day Syn sits on the throne of the Empire but, the strong man is rapidly approaching 110 years of age, a titanic length of life for a human man and the day of his ending may be fast approaching, if so his position will be succeeded by his first daughter, Merendauntalus the Third of her name.

Syn as far as anyone knows was a straight man. He married politically at the age of thirty, five years after the war ended and he ascended to the throne to the Daughter of a Wealthy archduke who had fought along side him during the war.
Education
Syn was trained rigorously as a youth as he lacked the physical aptitudes of his brothers and his father had a hard time handling the child who reminded him so much of his wife. He had a skilled mind for grasping figures and distances but would often grow bored of the work.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Syn is one of the heroes of the Gem War and in the aftermath has ruled as a proud and kindly Emperor, it is lorded as having been a golden age of recovery for the Jaralian Empire after the hefty loses of the Gem War.
Mental Trauma
Syn is a survivor of war, a war that robbed him of his siblings and only remaining parent. Even now, over eighty years later he often has horrible dreams to that event, finding solace with his time aboard the ship and the memories of his friends.
Intellectual Characteristics
Syn is quick witted and calculating, he has a good read of characters but in his older years has been losing a bit of his lucidity, he often spends time rambling about stories from the war and the times before with people who will listen.
Morality & Philosophy
Syn has always believed that freedom is a right and that people who attempt to remove that from others deserve punishment and he has ruled the empire for eight decades of this creed.

In his earlier years Syn's motivation was personal freedom, and later the freedom of his people. Now, nearing the end of his life he strives for those little moments of personal freedom.

Synfistorous was the fourth son born to emperor Wistandauntalus the Fifth, during the labour his mother lost her life due to complications with his birth but the healers on hand managed to save the boy.
