Viashino

A non-native species of Tarana, Viashino are wiry reptilian humanoids, known for their quickness, love of fire, and emotions that run high. Nimble, wily, and naturally equipped with sharp jaws and a near-prehensile tail, they can usually be found in military roles . Viashino enjoy rushing into the heat of battle, often accompanied by some fiery weapons or magic.

Passion and Rage

Unlike the lizardfolk of other worlds, viashino are full of emotion and passion, believed by many to indicate their relation to enigmatic dragon ancestors. Their heightened emotions mean that viashino make fast friends to those they get along with, and present themselves as vicious, raging enemies to their foes. Some say that viashino have a smoldering inner fire, which they can call upon when a battle is turning against them, driving them to never give up in a fight.

Viashino and fire

Viashino have a deep cultural attachment to fire, ranging from a believed draconic ancestry to the heat of their traditional spicy cuisine. Among the Gruul, they are often tied to the clans' fire-focused cultural practices, such as wild pyromancy, or rage magic derived from the Great Bonfire of Skaarg. In the Izzet League, viashino make up the majority of the Scorchbringer guards, an elite combat force armed with flame-hurling pyroconvergers.
