Ginstrákta

Ginstrákta was abandoned as a child in the Krova (Grey River), which carried her from Phystokovlik into the sea, which deposited her into a Raiviran fjord. Nearly completely frozen, she was found by a lonely old woman who brought her body to her cave. She performed a pseudo-necromantic ritual, which allowed the girl to survive the freezing, and named her Ginstrákta (Frozen Gift). The woman raised the girl to worship the ice, snow and land around them rather than the Gods, of whom the girl had no knowledge. When the old woman finally died, Ginstrákta became more and more absorbed by the cold until at last she returned to the fjord where she had been found so long ago and sacrificed herself to herself within the cold waters, emerging a powerful Kynarek.
