Wekk Kenmarr

The true Kenmarr Old man Wekk, he who looks to the past Wekk Heffmarr as is his real name is an ex-mercenary who during the merchant wars in the south rose to prominence as an alternative to the established mercenary companies in the south and Obrirun. Wekk proved those who trusted him right and in a few years conquered most of the Jeren Ber by simply speaking to the residents there in their own language winning their support by coming as a liberator, not a conqueror. Wekk arrived on Heffirr the cultural capital of Kenirr and capital of his enemies with a larger army than he set out with conquering it in a few months and then returning back to the cities of the Quen where he argued for the re-introduction of the old elective style of monarchy that existed before Kennon and again won.
Wekk has been seen as a result of this as a restorer of old culture, of what existed before Kenirr became more like the west and as a masterful orator, he is the only of the "Four Darens" not to claim the title Daren as he says it is a foreign one, unfit for the coast and as of such use the old Kenirrik royal title of Kenmarr. It is even rumored that Wekk does not know how to speak Zarrashi, although many say that this is a lie he is known for never publically speaking the language, even using translators if necessary.
