Vaeshuk

The Vaeshuk or spirit of the forest is a central part of Erkish belief, they believe that at least the forest of Erkirr are magical and have a series of myths or stories surrounding it, everything from that being lost in the forest may make one permanently forgotten or return to their child younger than them. That the Vaeshuk punish those disloyal to them and that one needs to follow the speakers advice or risk dying. There are also stories of fair women/men luring youngsters or mystical music when no one should be heard playing.

Cultural Reception

Mostly believed by Kenirrik to be superstition from superstitious folk and that if actually true to be some form of magical creature and not a spirit or divine being of the forest.

In Art

Northern Kenirrik art has during recent years more and more reflected the cultural legacy of the Erk to the point that a popular costume party trend of wearing masks inspired by those worn by the Erks who communicate with the Vaeshuk have been appropiated and is now used by the nobility and upper echalons of society.
