Kersh Ironarm

Daren

The Daren of Erkirr, Kersh Ironarm is a fullblooded orc and leader of the Ironarm tribe of orcs. Kersh as a young orc was a good friend of the previous rulers of Erkirr, the tribe of Bonearrow, serving alongside their leader as a commander in his army and a close advisor, however when the old leader of the tribe died with only daughters as children and with a cousin of the Bonearrow tribe claiming the right to rule, Kersh rebelled and claimed a right to rule through his marriage to one of these daughters and after several victories on the battlefield won the right. He has since come to sign the "Treaty of four Darens" and crowned himself a Daren, the former being a very controversial move among the Orcish people in Erkirr but more popular among the humans.
He is however still popular partially due to the influx of new orcs/half-orcs from the coast who are simply happy to be ruled by a fellow orc than a human as well as his tendency to discuss Erkirr as a trading partner of Kenirr and not a vassal or part of the Old Kenirrik Empire.
