Grand Pillar

An organization working as an international anti magic organization, their namesake (Grand Pillar) is supposed to represent civilization and their goal as such is to maintain order within society. They are incredibly active in their work and follow their own codes and rules, quiite often against official rules. They were born as a result of the disaster of Lekirr and the civil war in Kenirr but have spread a lot since, members are either commonly called Pillars, Pillarites or Whites. The name whites is due to their tendency to dress in white robes or cloaks and the colors importance in their organisation. The Pillar also has a strong symbolic relationship with the first empire, this is due to pillars being common in ancient Zarrashi architecture.   The organization was founded a few years after Lekirr by the Kenirrik Mage and statesman Metsch Rekell, in the diaries now sometimes used as canon to the Pillar, Metsch explains how seeing both the havoc caused by his fellow mages at Lekirr, the destruction caused by ambitious nobles at the start of the civil war and the other killings made by scared peasant mobs in what would be the first purges. He felt a sever lack of order, that all of this was a force of chaos, similar to how he assumed both the elemental and dark invasions were taking then a page from something he believed would work he established slowly the order of the pillar a small group of people interested in establishing order in a system that did work, Zarrash. His diaries continues to then see how Metsch more and more blames the chaos on mages and in certain cases connecting them to previous unrests. Eventually codifying what exactly "The Order of the Pillar" has as a goal (much of which still exists as official creed) and training the first batch of Pillar mage hunters.

Public Agenda

They have a formal goal of sorts which is: 1a. Observe the spread and use of necromancy in Tannar 1b. If misuse of necromancy (and any other form of magic) is prevalent take any necessary action to stop said misuse. 2. Observe and record any interesting information of any independent organization, state or faction. 3. Preserve the status quo, and prevent any harm coming to innocent civilians or bystanders.   However, their overarching tenets are unknown to nonmembers.
