Ghaal’Zakuum

Ghaal’Zakuum is the goblin name for the empire that existed there before “the green mist” while long dead, perhaps even dying before Zarrash. Ghaal’Zakuum is at the heart of all goblins much like Zarrash is for humans. The empire was the pinnacle of goblin society and culture and is said to have been very complex, with clear hierarchies and structures. The empire collapsed in an event known as “the green mist” where stories or sources claim that a green mist slowly embraced parts of the empire turning its people into rabid mad warriors and through that inevitably destroying the empire. Goblin society however continued to exist as some to escape the mist fled east and some west, with those affected left behind and can be identified due to their green skin.
