Ekkenbrum

The Berken of Ekkenbrum is a fortified mountain settlement founded in 1432 by Metsch Ekkenbrum a Berlett who was granted the title and the area after successfuly fighting back the local beasts, monsters and Erks.
Ekkenbrum is not specifically rich or large, having relatively poor soil and no real mining industry but survives on logging, small scale farming and hunting as well as an effective defensive position which kept it safe during the civil war like many Berken of its type.
