Nature

Balanced Creation

(a.k.a. Prirdona, Jayeong, Na'vao, or Shize)

Jayeong has crafted each and every one of us from the material and essence surrounding us. They remind us that there is a careful order to everything, and there is never an accident when it comes to the creation of life. Even the most sickly of us has a place in this world.
— Yeun-ji, Jangmunyo of Dosi-Senan
Nature was one of the four gods to be born from Moon’s sundering, and he stayed after War and Death left to chase Magic and Change across the cosmos. It wept for Moon’s suffering, but molded the largest fragment of her body into something new and beautiful. Mountains and seas formed under Nature's tender hands, and forests grew upon the surface of Moon’s body, creating the world of Tanju. To populate this new world, Nature harvested the material elements (earth, metal, wood, stone, ice, snow, rain, and ocean) and the essence elements (lightning, fire, frost, light, shadow, heat, cold, and wind) and combined them to create living creatures. To this day, it is believed that it carefully crafts each baby born of any species, and the specific combination of elements it used shapes their personality traits and physical characteristics for the rest of their lives.   Followers of Nature are drawn to the beautiful, untouched places of the world where they can more deeply understand the world around them. They strive to protect the bounty of nature, never taking more than they need. They are often religious leaders in their communities, alongside those who follow Life. Nature and Life followers are often present at all births, and play a special role in the naming of children as they read the fundamental composition of a child, predicting their temperament and health as they grow. They educate the young and guide them as they face life’s challenges, helping to shape the future of their community.   Nature is often depicted as male or androgynous, and almost always alongside its counterpart, Life. It is depicted with a lean, perfect physique, nude to showcase the perfect body it possesses that all humans are modeled from. Rather than hair, flowers and vines grow from Nature’s head, wrapping around its body like so many loving arms. Often, Nature will be either sculpting a creature or giving a finished body to its partner to be blessed with Breath.

Divine Domains

Nature presides over all things that walk, fly, swim, crawl or grow in the world. It also holds dominion over weather, especially storms, and the tides, for the ocean is an oft-forgotten part of its portfolio. Even civilized peoples can pay homage to Nature, for they have it to thank for the harvest and the seasons.   Its suggested cleric domains are the Nature, Tempest, and Order domains.
