Session 1 - Moravagarlis

General Summary

The party joins forces in Koeglin Village to face a mutual threat to the people: Bonesnap Ruins.   Raistlin begins reading up on the history of these ruins while Fredryc and Tanis prepare for battle, creating potions and scrolls. It is learned through study that the original name for these Ayleid ruins is "Moravagarlis". Unsure of what that name means, our intrepid adventurers head towards the goblin encampment on the outskirts of the ruin. They see a freshly built, crude wooden palisade but the camp is missing a leader and half their numbers. Fredryc lobs several "shock mortars" into the camp with a new and powerful staff he found in the Mages Guild.   With the entrance cleared, the party ventures inside the ruins, where they notice all of the goblins are dead or have fled. It is soon discovered, that something might have been haunting the goblins, causing them to flee. Upon further investigation, small portals to oblivion are found opening on the east side of the cave, through what seems to be a system of caverns dug into the side of the ruins. The party realizes they are surrounded by daedra who are looking for something deep within the caverns.   Sneaking through to take a peak, Tanis alerts a nearby Auroran, triggering a hasty escape to the outside world. The weaker, lesser aurorans give chase to the party, leading to a few dead daedra and a spooked out group of heroes. When the greater auroran instantly kills a human hostage it brought to negotiate with, the party realizes these daedra mean business. The dead hostage was a female Breton wearing Mages Guild robes.   Fredryc casts recall back to town while Tanis and Raistlin run back through the goblin camp. The newly returned Goblin War-Chief is very confused as he sits in a smoldering crater of glass and scarred earth.
