The Septim Bloodline

The Septim Bloodline begins with Tiber Septim, who would later ascend to immortality and godhood as Talos after his death. His only child, PELAGIUS I, was killed by the DARK BROTHERHOOD once Pelagius had become emperor, but this seems to have done little to the bloodline itself. Tiber's brother, AGORNITH, had passed away, but his daughter KINTYRA I had proven herself worthy on the ELDER COUNCIL and became the first Septim Empress. All the Septim bloodline comes not from Tiber himself, but actually from his brother AGORNITH.   As of 433 3E, the current Septim bloodline has now expanded considerably. There are many who would claim to have the right and lineage to claim the throne now if the direct descendants were to die. However, Uriel Septim VII sired four legitimate heirs and each had their own strong claim on the throne. These are Ariella, Geldall, Enman and Ebel. Unfortunately, the eldest, Ariella, died in childbirth with her third son, Glaucus. However, her own issue would presumably also have the next closest rights to the throne in the unlikely event that all three direct children of Uriel were all to pass untimely.   The only illegitimate heir of Uriel Septim VII was the acknowledged bastard child Calaxes Septim, who was granted the Archbishopric of the CHURCH OF THE NINE DIVINES. However, he was assassinated in the Temple of the One. It is whispered that this was undertaken by the BLADES on order of URIEL himself. It is known that Calaxes wanted to separate the religious aspect of the Septim Bloodline from the Church of the One, and this angered his father.
