Motivation

• She wants a good life for herself, and to be able to make that happen on her own terms
• Having grown up in a brothel, everything was communal. The workers tended to share the majority of their possessions which bothered Morrigan as she can be quite possessive over things she views as hers. She left after she stabbed one of her 'sisters' through the hand for trying to use some of her paint despite being told no
• She has very clear boundaries about personal space and possessions essentially
• She doesn't like the fact that art is seen as a rich person activity, something that aristocratic daughters are taught to wile away time before they get married off
• Due to the fact that she doesn't have the connections or access to clients for portraits, she's unable to make a living off it
• Therefore she makes money by forging popular paintings for middle class households who can't afford originals
• She dreams of one day getting together enough money to access the upper crust of society

• Not good at talking to people, tends to just stay quiet and comment when she thinks of something to say
• usually by the time she has thought of something to say, the conversation has moved on
• This does mean she spends a lot of time observing people and working out what makes them tick, though. This makes her uncannily good at persuasion.
