She takes the form of an amorphous pink ooze, completely made of a specific type of melted taffy.

Physical quirks
She tends to melt, having a scent of sweetness. She also tends to have small objects stuck inside of her mess, such as small insects and dirt and grime.
Special abilities
As a slime, she's capable of changing her shape so long as she has enough mass. She's capable of encasing things inside of her. She's capable of sticking to surfaces and squeezing into impossibly small spaces.

Personal history
Cherryvale's sweetside bakery is the number one outcome of sugary treats and deserts, this was the company to discover candy in this realm, thus it's the closest to a corporate business. However, being the biggest business in Cherryside, it's prone to accidents and corruption. They fiddle with magic elixirs to give magical effects to those who consume their candy, from basic healing to acting as stimulants to strength (there have been concerns raised among parents for the side effects of said effects but those are still being looked into).
However when you run a business as big as being the biggest candy bakery in the world, accidents are bound to happen. Occaisonally, newbies will mix in the wrong arcane ingredients, whether it be by accident, or in some cases corporate sabotage. Most cases, it simply produces a bad batch. However some elixirs react horribly with the candy provided, in rare cases it will result in a candy slime.
Whilst most candy slimes have been dealt with rather quickly, exterminated or contained, some slip through the cracks, usually in harmless small doses. However some of the candy slimes slowly gathered together underneath the pipeworks of the factory, slowly growing in size as they consume candy. Usually these incidents are contained and dealt with, so the public isn't aware of these candy slimes.
However, an uprising began to come about from workers due to being underpayed for their hard work, thus they started sabotaging by putting more powerful and dangerous elixirs in the candy to try and get Sweets side shut down. The influx of magic slimes gained an increase of magic inside of them, enough so to give one of the slimes a higher cognition of sentience. This one grew more strategic, consuming candies and lesser candy slimes to build it's mass.
Eventually, it grew sentient emotion. Curiosity, and longing. Longing to become something more. A sense of self, to be above a common 'ooze'. It did something that was rare for oozes, it tried to actually mimic the appearance of other humanoids. Over the years, the monster was able to completly control it's body, it could give itself an identity, it could give itself a name; Taffy, but it couldn't fully master all aspects of a humanoid form at once. It could only form a couple of apendages or body parts at a time, for the time being.
Eventually however, she was found out, panic started to rise as monster hunters were sent to seek her out and hunt her down.
Gender Identity
Taffy doesn't have much of an understanding on gender, she knows the basic pronouns present, however she doesn't understand typical stereotypes about different genders, so she simply views it as a title, but more than that, she views it as an identity to who you choose to be. And that thrill of choice and identity interests the monster. Thus she chose a feminine identity, mostly too excited about the prospect of being given the chance to have an identity to really consider it's meaning to her. But it was her choice, so it means a lot to her.
Sexuality
She doesn't have a real preference on gender, and she doesn't get attracted by general appearances. She adores the looks of all creatures, and finds their superioriity in their life cycle interesting, thus wanting to mimic them so she too can raise above the common slime she started as. Whilst she has no oppinion on sex as a concept, she's interested in the idea of forming close relationships, even intimate or romantic. The main issue is, she has no sense of personal boundaries, space, or what makes others uncomfortable, which leads to several problems.
Education
She hasn't gone to an actual school or had a mentor figure, instead she simply learned through observation. Even with intellect increasing stimulants, her pool of knowledge to learn from was rather limited, learning from mimicking others. To learn Noxani she had to drink a magic potion of language comprehension...several times, since the effect only gave her an hour to memorize everything, so it was a process of trial and error, and she's pretty sure she hasn't mastered it either.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Taffy is the first Candy Slime to achieve sentience, she's also one of the largest candy slimes on record, being the first candy slime discovered by the public, and the most dangerous candy slime due to actually having caused a casualty. She is also currently the largest candy slime on record (So far)
Failures & Embarrassments
Her existence has caused many riots towards sweetside, she has been captured by a famed monster hunter and is being treated as a trophy. She also tends to constantly get in the face of others and ask all the wrong questions.

Intellectual Characteristics
Despite her naive demeanor, she's actually rather clever when it comes to hiding and sneaking around, as she was able to stay under the bakery's radar for years to slowly grow in power in the lower chambers. She's actually probably the most intelligent candy slime in comparison to all other candy slimes but...that's a low bar. Despite her somewhat impulsive nature, she always has the intruige to learn more to advance herself to become a higher being than what she was before.
Morality & Philosophy
Taffy doesn't understand the concept of morality. She doesn't understand the concept of doing something good or evil, she simply thinks it's natural to want to ascend the foodchain and become something greater, she doesn't understand the frailty of other beings or their physiology, which is usually what leads her not exercising caution with others.
She thinks that she has the oppertunity to evolve, and doesn't see the issue with taking what she wants to do so by force if she really wants to. She doesn't understand why everyone freaks out so much. This isn't that she's inherently cruel towards others, just not certain what to expect.

She refuses to be a mindless and inferior ooze, giving up on survival and evolution isn't something she's willing to accept.

Motivation
She wants to become something more than what she currently is, to evolve and become something more meaningful than a mere puddle of slime. Also very food motivated when it comes to adding other sweets to her mass.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
She understands that there's higher forms of life that are on a higher standing than herself, and she understands that it's possible to evolve past her form. She understands that humanoids are conscious individuals with their own identity, and she understands the strength other have in numbers and connections. She also understands the key art of survival through stealth.
She doesn't understand the specifics of their life and the meaning they hold. She doesn't understand the full concept of how sensitive something is, noir the concept of morality. Social norms of others escape her, and she has no sense of personal space or boundaries, she also doesn't understand the fact that others are uncomfortable with her slimy presence.
Taffy also doesn't understand how to fully form herself in a humanoid body, and being made of slime can cause difficulty with dexterity with her.
Likes & Dislikes
She likes sweets, candies, anything that can increase her mass so long as it's sweet. She enjoys the concept of attaining a higher form of evolution. She also enjoys physical contact with others.
Loud, sudden noises usually startle her, she also doesn't feel comfortable near fire, and doesn't appreciate her mass being taken from her without permission.

Despite what her naive nature may suggest, she's a fast learner in retrospect. She's also a rather sociable individual to those who are willing to talk to her, always seeking to improve herself. She's a rather powerful optimist, as it's rather hard to dampen her mood. Despite her lack of a concept on morality, she's willing to discuss matters if need be, even if she gets ahead of herself.

She tends to do things without speaking with others first, participating in unwanted physical contact or sometimes even performing actions that may endanger others without realizing it. She also tends to simply take things without asking. Her knowledge is rather limited, which causes her to be somewhat naive and airheaded at times.

She tends to contrort and reform, often sloshing around in her form, often getting up in people's faces when she interacts with others. She tends to distort her appearance in various ways every so often, swirling around her facial features to stim.

She tends to be overbearing in a conversation, being too forwards, but at the very least she has a solid amount of confidence and social energy, she just comes off a bit too strong. That isn't to say she'll immediately greet you, as she'll hide in the shadows until she knows your not an enemy, but at the point she discovers your not a threat she goes full golden retriever mode.

She tends to get up close to whoever she's talking to, stretching and controting her body to express herself as she tends to mimic the gestures of others. She tends to be very expressive and has a wide smile.

She claims she has pets in the dead mice that are inside of her body. She has a hobby of birdwatching...and animal watching in general. And people watching. And...anything watching, she likes to spy and take note of others in her spare time.

She has a light yet garbled tone of voice with a strange echo, her voice is a mimicry of sound through magic, yet despite the audible strangeness, it's still comprehendable. She'll usually compliment the unique standing of other creatures, interested in their higher standing of evolution, however sometimes this intrigue can turn to obsession. She doesn't usually insult someone, when she finds someone she doesn't like she usually goes uncharacteristically silent.
