Tales of the Forgotten

Welcome to the Vattrauxian peninsula, where the last vestiges of human society cling to life by the skin of their teeth.   Eight hundred years ago, the innocent forests sprawled across the center of the continent began rapidly expanding, spurred by some unknown, malevolent force. It absorbed villages, cities, whole civilizations into the tangles of the wood, and any who tried to delve inwards to locate the source of the evil either never returned or lost their sanity completely to the wicked wood. Desperate for survival, the people of the Continent fled to the north and to the south in an attempt to escape.   Those to the north are lost to the unknown - but those who fled to the south found solace and safety at the very ends of the earth, on what is now known as the Vattrauxian peninsula. The wicked forest did not dare expand beyond the mountain range separating the peninsula from the rest, and so the refugees founded the Last City of Vattraux in the rich, plentiful peninsula.   It has been eight hundred years, and there is a whole host of new problems - resources are dwindling, the Last City is crowding, and relationships with the neighboring Sky People are tense.   Welcome to your world, adventurers.
