Kobolds

Basic History

Kobolds (Drahd) were fairly late to entering civilization. Around the turn of the millennium, kobolds rose out of their seclusion in the Northern Mountains due to over population. Since then, they can be found living in ruins marked as their territory. Most make peace with civilization and even visit nearby towns to trade off ruin technologies for supplies.

Culture

Many kobolds inhabit deep ruins and, along with goblins and other creatures, upkeep the traps to keep others out of their homes. It can be very difficult to tell the difference between an abandoned ruin and one that is home to kobolds. A few clans of kobolds have made pacts with the Ruin Historics to maintain some ruins to train delvers, though most remain unallied and will kill those who willingly invade their homes. Those few kobolds who adventure themselves are often from clans allied with the Ruin Historics.
