Mage's Peak
The tallest peak in Arcan.
It is said that whoever manages to climb it will become a powerful spellcaster. Others say that anybody but a powerful spellcaster would certainly die trying to reach the top of the mountain.
The peak is a symbol of the United Kingdom of Arcan's might, and a pilgrimage to the town near its base is a rite for Wizards entering and leaving the archipelago.

The freezing air grows supernaturally thin as one nears the top, the weather changes on a dime, and the very ground is known to give way as one tries to climb this dangerous peak.
The magical activity is, however, the most dangerous and remarkable feature of this location. The magical activity is strongest the higher up in the ascent, and so far, no one has been able to predict its shifts. Some may lose their footing after a shift in the mountain's magical whims, some others may lose much more. There are others who are themselves lost forever.
