Icarium (Paladin)

The Ella Dor’I is a mysterious tribe of Half Orcs with one large centralized village. This village is home to numerous types of workers, goods and mercenaries. The Ella Dor’i is run by an uncharacteristically sophisticated and intelligent council of Orc. These Orcs have attained a nearly demi-god like status in their tribe.

The council sends out secret “emissaries” to various locations around the world, and even to other planes of existence. Their goal is to bring various skilled and proficient individuals of non-orc races as mating stock, and as a source of increasing their knowledge and skillset. They have tapped into black markets, as well as legitimate markets, around the free world. The Tribe is incredibly rich, but severely maintains the dark secret of their wealth. Because of this, the Tribe has little to no recognition in normalized society. They are truly a shadow civilization, supporting progress in industry and technology from a hidden refuge in the wild.

While the Tribe may obtain their wealth in nefarious ways, and for obvious reasons they don’t let their workers escape, they do pay them fair wages and give them a lavish lifestyle. While most of these “guests” may resist and rebel at first, most come to love the rich culture, wealth and technology of the Tribe. Some of the staunchest supporters are of completely non-orc blood.

The Tribe’s ability to convert it’s “guests” as well as it’s completely hidden, secluded and difficult location, has completely shut it off from the world. The indoctrination of their secret emissaries is also paramount to maintaining this secret.

Icarium is one of the secret emissaries of the Tribe of the Ella Dor’i. Bred from Orc and Elf stock, Icarium has an unnatural obsession with the laws of the Tribe. Because of his zealotry to the cause, he was recruited directly out of his military training to bring back specimens for reproduction and skills advancement.
