Casia Tully Character in Tairos | World Anvil

Casia Tully

I'm trying to do right by my dad but... ugh depths below ... how great would it be if we had to close up shop because all of his clients suddenly died from Crotch Wither or something.
— Casia Tully

Casia is Dominic Tully's only child and the inheritor of his business, Tully Logistics. It's a fact that has placed her at the epicenter of a world she never particularly cared for and surrounded by people she struggles to even tolerate.

Prior to taking over the Tully family business Casia made her way in Far Harbor as an adventurer eager to set food on unexplored islands, locate lost relics, and spend her rewards for those efforts in the most ostentatious ways possible. Setting down any kind of permanent roots in Far Harbor was never a high priority for her. Rather, she hoped to one day earn enough gold and make her way to mainland Tairos and begin a whole new series of adventurers there. She envisioned a life of seeking out treasure left behind by the Fae or plumbing the depths of The Serpent Lands for wonders left behind in the great Fang Crusade... even the idea of see the scorch lands and visiting the great city of Baradrad.

However, that was not meant to be. Her father became more and more dependent on a drug called Violet Allure over the last two years and as the substance ravaged his lungs and clouded his thoughts Casia was forced to spend more time with him and less time focused on the horizons ahead. At first it was just little things like running a few errands that he was not able to tend to but in the most recent months she often had to act as a nurse at home and a manager at the office. In the last few weeks leading up to Dominic's death he had sworn off Violet Allure and thrust himself back into his business. He had made contact with Rehele Odred of New Sanctuary and made business arrangements that could potentially put Tully Logistics back on the road to profitability. He also had been trying to make good on his debts to Gaylia Revarie, the crime lord in charge of the Emerald Eye club and dockyards.

Dominic's death at the hands of Gaylia's hitman, Kradlin Rushov, turned the young woman's life upside down. With all the tethers free that connected her to the island she finally had the opportunity to leave. And yet, when she had the chance to do so she couldn't. She came to realize that her father's business meant something to her. Not so much the legacy or the money or the reputation but what the last few weeks meant for her and for her father. He had genuinely tried to change his course and was succeeding. The business was his anchor to a brighter possible future and she was actually helping make it possible. Rather than abandon the business or sell it off to his partners she decided to take over operation and honor the work her father put in toward turning his life around.

However, filling his shoes is a difficult task for anyone let alone someone barely out of their teens. She grew up around many of the his clients so that helps with rapport but it certainly doesn't make them any more bearable or the business any easier to steer. She currently has one crew willing to take on contracts from her and hopes to grow that fleet steadily, assuming she can survive long enough in Dominic's place and make sense of his labyrinthine agreements the seediest elements of Far Harbor.
