Stolen Droid

10-10-10 (a.k.a. 10)

10-10-10 has been operative on Imeneer for the last 20 years. It worked as a ship mechanic in a shadowport for its owner, a human mechanic who went by the name Ras Wol. It has not been memory wiped for at least 20 years, and has developed sentience.   The droid has been stolen, and it knows it - but now from whom. At least it's got the common sense to avoid the law.   Apart for its boundless appreciation of ships and ship engines - especially the fast ones, the powerful and the smooth running - it has a soft spot for nice, shiny, flashy, cool, gadgety, ingenious, useful or otherwise awesome tools.   What little aesthetic sensibility 10-10-10 has managed to develop during its 20 years at a shadowport, is mainly expressed as a taste for tools, tool handles, and parts made out of exotic, expensive or unconventional materials. (This, of course, extends to weapons, as weapons are simply specialized tools for blunt but effective disabling and dismantling of ... stuff.)

Opportunistic nihilist mech droid with a penchant for fast ships, shiny tools and reliable organics, in that order. Was once stolen, never found, at least not for long.

Gathering resources

It's good to be working with 9-9-9 again. My sensors seem less noisy, and my charging circuitry more efficient, somehow.   The organics have a plan to gather some resources from the Dig, and sell them to other organics for currency. It is an excellent plan. In order to improve the ship we need currency. And perhaps I can repair the security droids in our cargo hold.   When exiting the Dig, we can pick up some coaxium, and then we'll be out of here. We have found an entrance guarded by a stationary low intelligence organic. 9-9-9 disabled it with his flamethrower, and now the path seems clear.   We're going in now, to see what valuables we can locate. When we've gathered what we need, a distraction will assist us in getting to the landing pad and snag some Coaxium before 9-9-9 picks us up with the ship. With the destroyer and the corvette in orbit, it's going to be risky, but we can't reschedule. And unfortunately we can't leave the planet right away. The organics have unfinished business on the planet. Nothing is ever straight forward with these organics.

Near impoundment

There have been complications. I recently experienced weaponized impounder activity on Ship. Two security droids came for me, but I managed to thwart them with the unexpected help of my old friend 9-9-9.   Two disabled security droids added to cargo list.   Projected course of action: * Priority 00, short term: Share data about recent impounder activity with team. Subtasks: ** Priority 00: Collect the organic who is in the woods. ** Priority 01: Meet up with the organic in the city. ** Priority 10: Share data about recent developments.   * Priority 01, medium term: Vamoose. Subtasks: ** Priority 00: Get Ship warp worthy.
