Risenthnys
Overview
Risenthnys, also called the Twisted Torcs, are a pair of torcs worn by the Gods Keldanek and Adityenache as a symbol of their everlasting commitment to one another. Records state that when both deities wore their torcs, and it is said that they never removed them, the two deities could sense one another presence, communicate telepathically, or read each other minds. In general, it is understood that these torcs made their divine powers recognise each other as simply another part of their divinity. As such, the natural defenses a God has against another, their own divinity protecting them from mental manipulation in any form, is overruled by this connection.Forging
Constructed by Quaiss for the pair, the torcs are said to have been forged to function for Keldanek and Adityenache alone, although there are some who would love to get their hands upon the divine artifacts to study whether that is truly the case. The ability to circumvent someone's natural defenses, or to forge a connection with someone that perseveres no matter the distance, is a power beyond anything terrestrial mages have been able to re-create. Visually, the torcs appear to be made of mundane brass, one with swirling lines almost like clouds and the other with straight-lined, geometric patterns. A mage tapping into the aether could see the way the natural energies of the world swirl around the artifacts, unable to touch the divinely-made matching pair.Location
Lost after the sacrifice of Keldanek and Adityenache as they funneled their powers into the creation of the Barrier, both Risenthnys have been missing for over three thousand years. Rumours have arisen many times, resulting in hundreds of mages across the globe leaving their research, their homes, to search for the powerful Risenthnys, one of a handful of divine artifacts known to be on the material plane.
