Viskari

Viskari, also known as the Silent Queen or Queen of Darkness, is the goddess of death, fate, and grief. She is said to be the daughter of the God of Darkness, Vithyo, and the Mother Goddess, Saia. She is the sister of the Abyssal Trickster, Horheus.

She is typically depicted as a hooded or masked figure wielding a scythe—bringing ravens and crows in her wake. However, most bodily depictions of her include black hair with deep gray skin, dressed in deep purples to rival the night sky. She is often described as a dark and brutal entity—never hesitating to bring forth the fate of every creature that resides in this world. She is often associated with and portrayed along necromancy magic.

Viskari is the darkness that lurks in the form of death and loss. She is whom most of the world fears—the loss of life. Of death. Followers of Viskari are far and few, always lurking in the shadows and rarely ever presenting themselves as such. Rumors speak of a society that harbors these souls—lost and wandering souls whom come to peace with the fate that awaits them. Those who pray to Viskari are likely those whose paths have led nowhere else or have lived treacherous lives, facing death at every turn.
She is often portrayed to be a silent and ruthless goddess, rarely showing even her own worshippers with care or remorse.

Holy day

Viskari's holy day is the Rite of Passage, on the 13th of Vintheer. This day is much less a celebration so much as it is a silent vow to the Silent Queen. Those who embark on embracing the true cycle of death are known to speak forth words of prayer or adventure to keep the balance of death in order on this day. Children of Viskari few this day as a means to prove themselves to their Goddess, and offer themselves by whatever means possible to carry on the cycle that in which she maintains.
