Thrall

We have been chosen for a divine duty. Blessed with a second chance at life. Who are we to shirk from our duties, to scorn our benefactor, bite the hand that feeds us? We are slaves only in name. Every Faceless Thrall hails our King with awe and devotion, for he is the guardian of us all, the protector of Humanity from threats extradimensional, and we are his spear, thrust into the heart of his foe. Much have we lost in becoming his weapons. Our names, our faces, our very selves. Much is also gained in return: a power over mind and matter, an ageless existence free from malady, knowledge of the deepest secrets of this universe. Everything has been given unto us, it is only right that we give as much back. As long as the Eternal City still stands, Humanity shall never fall.
-Alric, Captain of the King's Guard
Thrall:   ASI: +1 to all, increases by +1 at levels 5, 10, 15 and 20.   Age: Thralls are ageless.   Size: Thralls vary greatly in height and build. They are usually 5-6 feet tall. Size is Medium.   Speed: 30   Alchemist's Apprentice: You can convert parts of your body into alchemical tendrils which give you the power to destroy and reconstitute matter. You can use your bonus action to remove any condition from yourself with this ability. In addition, when you attempt to stabilize a downed creature, you can use this ability to return the creature to 1 hp on a successful medicine check. You can also use this ability to launch a bonespine from the palm of your left hand. The spine inflicts the poisoned condition on a failed constitution saving throw (DC=8+prof+int). You can swap this condition for any other when you reach lvl 10. This feature can be used very broadly, as long as you have the skill proficiencies and time needed to perform the action. You can use this ability an amount equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.   Cold Iron Casket: You wear a suit of half-plate engraved with alchemical formulae, memories from your days as a human and your personality traits. These engravings cover the inside of your armour and are only readable with your alchemical tendrils. This suit of armour is as much to protect you as it is to protect others from you, limiting your powers and instilling a calming presence on your mind. You are proficient in using this particular suit of armour and it doesn't give you disadvantage on stealth checks. However, it forces an eerie chill to your words and deadens your mien, making you seem cold and distant to others giving you disadvantage on persuasion and performance checks. This armor can be upgraded to full plate at lvl 10, adamantine at lvl 15 and runed (resistance to all damage) at lvl 20. The full plate version of this armour turns your body completely into alchemical tendrils, letting you remove any of your conditions at the end of your turn.   Sworn Oaths of Verity: A Faceless Thrall cannot tell a knowing lie, though a misleading truth is allowed. Similarly, a Thrall not wearing his armour has a very distinguishable appearance: ghostly pale skin, glowing blue eyes and hair white as snow. The Faceless can choose to change their appearance to a more human one via alchemy, taking 24 hours for a Thrall to do so. The time taken halves every 5 levels gained.   Mindscape: You can move vast distances by destroying your body and reconstituting it in a different location. It is a draining and dangerous endeavour for most Faceless, let alone Thralls, but taken when absolutely necessary. It takes 24 hours for you to arrive at your location. The time taken halves every 5 levels gained.   Name of Power: At lvl 15, you can beseech the Faceless King to be tested and be given a name of power becoming a true Faceless if you succeed.   Languages: Faceless can transmit information through their tendrils very effectively and can learn any language this way. All Thralls can speak and understand Arcane and usually prepare for journeys by learning three additional languages this way. Thralls can learn new languages this way but only from proper Faceless, as the process is too dangerous for Thralls to attempt on their own.
