Girtab

Do you hear the call on the scorching desert wind? That is the voice of Azugiri, Shar´Amaz´Dar, the Flaming Serpent, the Scouring Wind. His flaming eye blazes in the sky, ever watching our deeds. We will not be found wanting, a pact we have made with the Men of the Wilds and many are the blessings Shar Sharrani has laid on us. Our Blessed Brethren go there now, to the restored capital of our hated foe to raze it anew! Not a single stone shall be left atop another! Our prophet, The Desert Speaker goes with them! May Shamash lend them the strength to rid this world of False Gods and their minions for good.
-A speech delivered by a demagogue of the Poisoned Blade tribe, ~499th Year, Second Awakening
It is a wondrous thing to discover, truly. Beyond the Deadlands that cover most of the Agrahzar Expanse, there exist tribes of swarthy Humans, with odd customs and a clear blessing of some Deity or Elemental Power. From the prisoners we've captured and interrogated, we've learned much of their ways. They are a deeply spiritual people, having dozens of names for a singular Deity, creator of all. 'Tis a similar religion to the one practiced in north-eastern Agrahzar, but these southern people clearly do not have angels walking amongst them. Their "blessed ones" more resemble massive scorpioid monstrosities, fused with a human. I shudder to even recall the image of them. Also notable of these desert barbarians is the arms and armor they wield. Their weapons seem to catch aflame in direct sunlight, and their armour, seeming like mere rags and leather, can absorb nearly any attack thrown at them. I beseech the council to send an expedition to these lands, so that we may learn more. For the good of Celotene, of course.
-A letter to the Ruling Council from an anonymous Entrope, 466th Year, Second Awakening
