Elf

Rare, arcane and otherworldly creatures from the Fundamental Planes of Life and Death, these creatures arrived to Sýnfilde during the Second Awakening. Fair of form and near limitless in lifespan, these lithe and humanoid beings are as varied as the Planes they hail from. Their creation lies in the hands of Kianshar, the Two-Faced Fundamental of Life, who made them an idealized version of humanity, yet they inherited their creator's split nature. As of this day, Elves exist in three known forms and I will describe them thus:   All Elves:   ASI: +2 Dex +2 Charisma, -2 Str   Age: ~1000 years   Size: 6-7 ft, slender build. Medium   Speed: 35   Darkvision: 60 ft   Fey: adv against charm, can't be put to sleep, creature type is fey   Trance: Elves do not sleep. Instead they meditate deeply, remaining semi-conscious, for 4 hours a day. The Common word for this meditation is "trance." While meditating, you dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive after years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit a human would from 8 hours of sleep.   Keen Senses: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.   Languages: Elvish, Local Common   High Elves   Claiming to be the first and the highest, original, most perfect form of Elf, these beings exist mostly in the Feywild, where they partake in the affairs of the Summer Court and its ruler, Kishar. Well-mannered and well-meaning, these Elves seek to help all beings live in harmony with others and help others whenever possible. Though children of Kishar, they are also in the good graces of Aion, the Fundamental of Order, and align themselves often with his goals of preserving the natural world and its laws and functions. Such an alignment with the Deities has granted the High Elves an easy mastery of all things arcane, magic flowing through their bodies with a preternatural ease.   Alignment: Any Good alignment.   ASI: +2 Int/Wisdom/Cha   Spellcasting: You can choose a single wizard cantrip and a single 1st level and 2nd level spell from the wizard spell list. You may choose your spellcasting ability for these spells (Int, Wis, Cha). You can cast these spells for free once per long rest, in addition you know these spells and can cast them with spell slots   Weapons: You are proficient with polearms, swords and bows.   Dark Elves   Claiming to be the first and the highest, original, most perfect form of Elf, these creatures inhabit Shadowfell, where they regularly intrude on the workings of the Gloaming Court and its ruler, Anshar. Cruel and malicious, these Elves are raiders, enslavers and killers all. The "might makes right" philosophy so prevalent in the Gloaming Court is personified in these beings, giving them a burning desire to exert power over others and prove their own superiority in doing so. This being said, it might seem surprising that these monstrous beings have any allies at all, yet they are firmly in Anshar's favour; the King of Air and Darkness seeing them as his greatest creations. Ares, the Fundamental of War, frequently blesses their efforts for he sees Life and War as inseparably linked, and glories in the destruction the Dark Elves leave in their wake. The danger these creatures pose on our world is kept in check by their seemingly innate weakness to sunlight. Their ghostly pale skin charring to a charcoal hue from a moment's exposure to the sun's rays limits the raids of these beings immensely and can be counted as the sole saving grace of these inhuman monstrosities.   Alignment: Any Evil alignment.   ASI: +4 Str/+2 Con   Armor: You are proficient with light and medium armor.   Weapons: You are proficient with swords, crossbows and polearms.   War-God's Blessing: Once per long rest you can use the Action Surge feature from the Fighter class.   Weakness to Sunlight: You take 1d6 radiant damage if you end your turn in direct sunlight.   Wood Elves   These sylvan Elves live in the deep woods of Vercantio and have done so for centuries. Elusive and isolationist, these fey rarely interact with people of other races. Their dwellings being well hidden by magical means and Wood Elves being seen often on the other continents leads me to believe there might be hidden settlements outside Vercantio as well. Despite their seemingly aloof nature, sightings of Wood Elves seem to increase whenever danger lurks near. I know not if the Elves are the cause or the solution to these threats, but the correlation is clear. In any case, I have heard from my sources that these Elves are the most favoured of Kianshar; embodying all aspects of Life equally and this makes them hard to decipher for outsiders. I, for one, doubt these claims. I have not been able to verify this statement with my own research, and I am an unflinching believer in my own capabilities.   Alignment: Any non-lawful alignment.   ASI: +2 Dex   Speed: 40   Weapons: You are proficient with swords, bows and glaives.   Mask of the Wild: You can use your bonus action to turn invisible when you are atleast lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena. This invisibility works as per the invisibility spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
