Arboreal

The Forest Folk are a curious breed. What we call "Arboreals" are a collection of primitive tribes living all across Vercantio. They make their homes in the woodlands, often as nomads, wandering that vast continent according to some unwritten law I am not knowledgeable on. Some tribes build semi-permanent shelters in trees, some live in caves, others in groves hidden from prying eyes with powerful magic. In any case, the Human inhabitants of Vercantio are incredibly varied, but have one thing in common: their supernatural connection to nature. In my travels I've seen many a 'Cantian summon wild beasts to their side and seemingly conversing with them. Root and branch move at their command, plants blossom and bloom at their command and wild beast is pacified or incited at their command. I have to admit, I am not entirely sure if a very particular section of their populace has these powers and is the only kind I've had the chance to meet, or if it is actually common amongst their people. Anyway, I have no way to know for sure since Arboreals are not keen on talking about such matters.

Arboreal: ASI: +3 Wis, +1 Con Nature's Communion: You are always under the effects of Speak with Animals and Speak with Plants. In addition, you can have Druid spells prepared an amount equal to your proficiency bonus. These spells can be of any level an equivalent level Druid would be able to cast. You do not require spell slots to cast these spells, instead they share a pool of times they can be cast equivalent to your proficiency bonus per long rest. Skills: You are proficient in Survival, Animal Handling and Stealth. You can double your proficiency bonus in these skills. Speed: 40, you can ignore any difficult terrain while moving in nature (or if it's created by spells such as Entangle) Size: Arboreals vary greatly in height and build. 5-6 ft tall, size is Medium. Age: Arboreals have longer lifespans than most humans and can live up to 120 years old. Languages: Cantian, Sylvan +1 language of your choice.
